Requirements for Sale of Foreign Currencies

At Dream Exchange, we offer foreign currency sale services based on our published exchange rates, ensuring clear and transparent transactions for individuals.

Identification and Document Verification

For all foreign currency sale transactions, we will retain copies of valid identification documents such as CNIC/NICOP/POC for Pakistani nationals and passport (with a valid visa or proof of legal stay) for foreign nationals, after verifying the original documents.

Biometric Verification for Large Transactions

For sale transactions of USD 500 or more, Pakistani nationals will undergo biometric verification, and the record will be maintained. If biometrics cannot be verified due to certain conditions (e.g., physical disability or technical issues), we will require a valid Verisys slip issued by NADRA.

Recording Transaction Purpose and Source of Funds

For transactions worth USD 1,000 or more, we will record the purpose of the transaction and collect supporting documents. Additionally, we will also verify the source of the funds.

Bank Transfer Requirement for Larger Transactions

For foreign currency sales of USD 2,000 or above, payment will be processed through a bank transfer or cheque from the customer’s personal account in PKR.

Foreign Currency Sale Limits

We observe the following transaction limits for selling foreign currencies:

  1. Maximum USD 10,000 per day (or equivalent in other currencies) per person.
  2. Maximum USD 100,000 per calendar year (or equivalent in other currencies) per person. Additionally, all transactions will be subject to purpose-specific limits as per applicable regulations.
Undertaking and Compliance

To ensure compliance with the above limits, customers will be required to provide an undertaking during each sale transaction, confirming that they have not exceeded the annual or daily limits. Dream Exchange will implement checks in our system to ensure these limits are not breached.

Requirements for Purchase of Foreign Currencies

At Dream Exchange, we strive to make your currency exchange experience as seamless and transparent as possible. To ensure smooth transactions and comply with regulatory guidelines, we have set out the following requirements for purchasing foreign currencies:

1- Valid Identification Document

All customers must present a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., National Identity Card, Passport, or Driver’s License) for verification purposes.

2- Purchase Exchange Form

You will be required to fill out a simple exchange form at the time of your transaction. This form helps us record details about your exchange, ensuring a smooth and secure process.

3- Currency Exchange Limits

Dream Exchange adheres to the guidelines set by the State Bank of Pakistan regarding currency exchange limits. For purchases of USD 2,500/- or above, identification documents will be retained for verification as per regulatory requirements.

4- Payment Method

We accept cash and electronic payments for currency exchanges. Please ensure you have the required funds available for the transaction. For larger amounts, prior notice might be necessary for processing.
